The new Livingston County Judicial Center will be a 27,000 square foot, state-of-the-art facility which will replace one of Kentucky’s oldest courthouses. The original structure, built in the 1840’s will remain intact next to the new structure. The design of the new center will be in the same architectural style as the original structure, thus creating flow between the two facilities located adjacent to one another.
Marcum Engineering, LLC. is providing the mechanical, electrical and plumbing design for this new facility located in Smithland, Kentucky. The structure is designed to be a two story facility housing all crucial elements of a modern judicial facility including District Court and Judge’s Chambers, Circuit Court Clerk’s office, Drug Court and Family Court. Also included are numerous waiting areas, law library and prison handling areas.
