Comments

This project required the survey and design of 1.36 miles of two-lane highway connecting US Hwy. 641 South/KY. Highway 121 South with KY. 94 East. This connection provided an alternate route for semi-tractor trailer traffic while relieving congestion.  Widening existing roadways, as well as providing turn lanes and signalization helped to manage additional traffic volumes at the beginning and ending of the project.  Both KY 94 and KY 121 were widened to meet the demand of traffic turning onto the new highway.

Development along this corridor required special considerations for wetland areas as well as proposed railroad crossings.  Throughout each phase of this project, Geotech was responsible for all environmental issues including coordination with all governing agencies and sub-consultants.
