Comments

The Rockcastle County Area Technology Center is a 50,000 square foot, one-story educational building located in Mt. Vernon, Kentucky which includes instructional shop areas, classrooms, common areas, and administrative facilities.

In addition to the main floor, there will be a controlled access mechanical mezzanine above the corridors and office and storage space.

The building is constructed of reinforced concrete masonry load bearing/shear walls on shallow footings.  Unique features include bow-string trusses and a radial configuration, “fanned” joist/joist girder roof over the administrative and common areas.
